India Post Recruitment 2021: Over 2500 vacancies released for various posts; know how to apply

India Post has released a job opportunity for various vacancies of Gramin Dak Sevaks (GDS). Interested and eligible candidates can submit their application forms on or before April 7, 2021.

Under this recruitment drive, over 2500 vacancies released for GDS in the Kerala and Chhattisgarh circles.

India Post GDS Recruitment 2021: Eligibility Criteria

• Assistant Branch Postmaster (ABPM): For this profile, the ABPM will have to check the functions of sale of stamps/stationery, Delivery of mail at doorstep deposits/payments/other transactions under IPB, conveyance, assisting Branch Postmasters in counter duties using the handheld devices—Laptop/Smartphone provided by the Department.
• Branch Postmaster (BPM): Candidates who will qualify for this profile will manage the affairs of Branch Post Office, India Posts Payments Bank (IPPB), and also ensuring uninterrupted counter operation during the prescribed working hours using handheld devices like laptop, Smartphone given by the department.
• Dak Sevak: This profile will include functions like sale of stamps and stationery, conveyance and delivery of mail, and any other duties assigned by Postmaster/ Sub Postmaster, including IPPB work in the Departmental Post Offices/ RMS.

Educational Qualification Required:

Candidates who hold Secondary School Examination pass certificate of Class 10th with passing marks in Mathematics, English, local language can apply for the post.

Age Limit:

The minimum age limit required to apply for the post is 18 years while the maximum age limit for the post is 40 years.
