As toxic air once again envelops the national capital and sends the air quality plummeting, the AAP government has yet again come under criticism for its apparent failure to curb air pollution.

Joining the angry chorus of condemnation is BJP leader Kapil Mishra, who made use of musical means to rail at the Arvind Kejriwal-led AAP government.

The BJP leader released a music video called ‘Breathless Delhi’, an apparent spoof of the iconic Indi-pop song sung by Shankar Mahadevan, to describe the national capital’s air pollution setback.

“Smog jo hua hai to aisa lagta hai ki iss saal Dilli me saans nahi hai, ab saans bhi lene me dard bhara hai (There is so much smog in Delhi this year that it seems there is no air left, it hurts to draw breath),” Kapil Mishra says in the song.

Here's the video:

By means of the song, the BJP leader takes aim at the AAP and its promises to make Delhi “pollution-free” and “dust-free”. Mishra also cites a number of measures taken by the AAP dispensation, such as odd-even scheme, to ostensibly fight pollution but allegedly did not yield desired results.

Without hesitating, Kapil Mishra also lambasts Arvind Kejriwal as a "useless CM". Earlier, the Delhi CM would blame the Congress-led Punjab government for stubble burning, but now, with his own party in power in the state, Kejriwal has made a U-turn, Mishra points out.
