National Testing Agency (NTA) released an important notification for candidates who are going to appear for the JEE Main exam this year. Amid coronavirus outbreak across the country, NTA has allowed candidates to make changes to their application form and also can change their previously filled exam city.

The decision was taken by NTA in view of the problems faced by the students due to the novel coronavirus in India.

Here’s what official notification read:

“It is notified that in view of the hardships faced by the aspirant of JEE (Main) 2020 due to the COVID-19 epidemic, the NTA has further expanded the scope of making corrections in the application forms to now also include the choice of cities for the centre.”

“The NTA will make efforts to allot the city of examination to the candidates in order of the choices opted by them in their application forms, subject to the availability of capacity in the desired city,” NTA said in a notification.

To make changes in the application form, including examination city, candidates can visit the official website of JEE Main at jeemain.nta.in.

The last date to update the examination city is April 14, 2020. So, candidates who want to make some changes to the application form can do it now as only one day is left.

Due to administrative reasons, the NTA might not be able to provide the candidate’s city of choice and a different city may be allotted.

Several educational institutions have postponed their examination due to the coronavirus pandemic in India.
