CBSE class 10th, 12th pending exam dates announced; deets inside

HRD Minister Dr. Ramesh Pokhriyal Nishank has finally announced the examination dates for Class 10th and class 12th pending examinations today. The Central Board of Secondary Examination (CBSE) board aspirants whose exams have been left due to the coronavirus outbreak will have to appear for their pending examination in the month of July 2020.

According to the HRD Minister, the remaining examination for CBSE Class X and Class XII will be held from July 1 to July 15. He also clarified that only examinations of 29 main papers will be held. Pokhriyal made this announcement just three days after he declared that no further examinations will be held for Class 10 students in the country barring for students of North East Delhi, where riots broke out due to CAA protest.


 

However, the CBSE is yet to announce the exact schedule for the examinations.

Earlier on April 1, 2020, CBSE announced that it will only conduct the examination for 29 main subjects of the 41 pending class 10th and class 12th board exam.

 

It also stated that the instructions will be issued for marking and assessment for the other postponed subjects for which no further exams will be held.

Due to the coronavirus outbreak, CBSE couldn’t conduct its eight examination that was supposed to be held on March 18. While in North East Delhi, due to the law and order situation, exams were postponed.

Examinations left for Class X for North East include Hindi Course A, Hindi Course B, English Communication, Science, Social Science, and English Language and Literature. The Class XII subjects for North East Delhi include Mathematics, Chemistry, Economics, Biology, Political Science, History, Physics, Accountancy English Elective -N, English Elective -C, English Core.

While the Class 12th subjects left for all India are Business Studies, Geography, Hindi (Elective), Hindi (Core), Home Science, Sociology, Computer Science (Old), Computer Science (New), Information Practice (Old), Information Practice (new), Information Technology, Bio-Technology.
