JEE and NEET exam dates announced! Check out new schedule for JEE-Mains, JEE-Advanced, NEET

Wait over! The Human Resource Development (HRD) Minister Ramesh Pokhriyal Nishak on Tuesday has announced the new schedule for JEE Main and NEET exams 2020. He informed that the JEE Main exam will be conducted from July 18 to July 23. While the NEET entrance exam will be conducted on July 26.

On the other hand, the JEE Advanced exam is expected to be held in August 2020 but the exact dates will be announced later on, HRD Minister said.

Earlier, JEE-Advanced was scheduled on May 17 while the JEE-Mains exam should be held from April 5- 11 but due to the outbreak of coronavirus across the country, the exams were postponed by the government of India.

On the other hand, the government is yet to announce its decision for the pending examinations of the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) board exams for Class 10, 12, Pokhriyal said during his interaction.

Notably, the syllabus for JEE Main and NEET exam 2021 have been curtailed. While interacting with students, Pokhriyal urged students to self-study and also asked them to take the help of digital modes including SWAYAM, Diksha for their entrance exam preparation.

He also informed that areas with low connectivity can see the content that will be telecast through SWAYAM Prabha TV.

This year, over 9 lakh students have registered for the JEE Main exams and over 15.93 lakh have applied for NEET 2020, data given by the National Testing Agency (NTA).
