Sourav Ganguly on daughter's post: 'Please keep Sana out of all this issues'

BCCI president Sourav Ganguly on 18th December, shared a tweet in reference to his daughter Sana Ganguly. “Please keep Sana out of all this issues...this post is not true..she is too young a girl to know about anything in politics.”

The 47-year-old’s tweet came after numerious usres in Twitter posted a screenshot of Sana’s Instagram story, a snippet on fascism from Kushwant Sing’s book ‘The End of India’. A section of the extract reads, “Every fascist regime needs communities and group it can demonize in order to thrive. It starts with one group or two. But it never ends there.”


Twitter user Arpana was one of the earliest to tweet the alleged screenshot. This was inside 10 minutes of Sana sharing the story.

Sourav Ganguly, while urging the people to keep his daughter out of this issue, tweeted, “This post is not true.” his claim, however, was discovered to be untrue.

Meanwhile, anti-CAA rallies are expected to be in full swing on Thusrdayeven as Section 144 of the CrPC, which forbids large gatherings, has been forced across most part of the country. Police have also issued orders denying authorization to scheduled anti-CAA protest in many parts of the country incruding the national capital.
