Ever since the trailer of Sultan has been launched, a lot has been spoken about Randeep Hooda's character. Hooda is portraying Salman Khan's Mixed Martial Arts (MMA) Coach in the film.

Speaking up about references being drawn with the Rocky movie series, Hooda believes that it is unfair to compare the two films.

In a group interaction with Catch, on being asked if he watched Rocky and Creed to get the nuances of a coach right, the actor said, "Sultan and Rocky are different stories, so I can't watch Rocky as a reference point for my character in Sultan. Of course one watches all kind of films, but there is no intention to be inspired by some other film."

Apart from portraying MMA coach in Sultan, Randeep will don the role of an MMA fighter in his upcoming film Do Lafzon Ki Kahaani. On being asked if being a part of Sultan got easy because of Do Lafzon Ki Kahaani, the actor said, "Whatever I learnt in Do Lafozon Ki Kahaani, I taught Salman Bhai in Sultan. The sort of training I did in Do Lafzon Ki Kahaani was enough for my character preparation in Sultan. I did Sultan when I was in the worst shape of my life i.e. after I shot for Sarbjit. I think my character in Sultan has a back story. However, I am not allowed to talk about Sultan right now."

The actor on being asked to speak about his dialogue from the trailer of Sultan 'I don't train dead people' which has already become a talking point said, "I don't train dead people and that was the requirement of my character in Sultan. I can't say that to Bhai in real life."

Sultan releases this Eid. The movie also stars Anushka Sharma and Amit Sadh in lead.
