Zomato has come up with a service every foodie is bound to love. The seven year old web platform has initiated the process of delivering food from joints that don't offer home delivery. The announcement was made by founder and CEO Deepinder Goyal on 1 September via Twitter.
"Every restaurant packs food if you want to take it home, but they do not indulge in home delivery as they may have a shortage of manpower. We have now tied up with Delhivery, Grab and Pickingo to get on board all such restaurants that do not typically do home delivery," Goyal told ET.

More than 10,000 restaurants are already a part of Zomato Order and Goyal has plans to include 500 restaurants a week under the new scheme. "We have seen overwhelming response and many restaurants have signed up exclusively for Zomato's service," says Goyal, "At the moment only 40 per cent restaurants deliver food at home. We want to take that number up to 90 per cent."
