Since the film Manikarnika - The Queen Of Jhansi has come out it has got stuck in the controversies, the film is being targetted for not giving credits to the director Krish. Actually, first the director Krish came out and blasted towards Kangana Ranaut and producer Kamal Jain for not giving him the credit of his work and also accused the actress of stealing his project.

Now the producer of the film, Kamal Jain has finally come out and made an official statement regards the whole controversy. “It’s very sad how Krish is trying to claim credit for what he doesn’t deserve, it was mine and studio’s collective decision to give credits the way they are and to attack Kangana who stood by the film from beginning to end is very sad. Whatever she did she could have not done without production and creative team’s consent, for Krish rather than making it a media trial specifically after huge critical claim and box office success is a clear attempt to harm our film, why doesn’t he go legal way if he is speaking the truth and prove his claims, we tried to handle this matter on every level nothing was done without informing him, its sad he chose to create this controversy at the stage,” said Kamal Jain told Pinkvilla.

Earlier the actress Mishti Chakravarty who shared the screen with Kangana in the film told Bollywood Hungama, “When I saw the film, I was really upset about my scenes being removed. After the movie, I didn't even speak to anyone. I just walked out of the theatre. Although, I did see the end credits and I saw Kangana's name before Krish as director. Krish directed this film right from the beginning to almost the end. He deserves to be credited as the director of this film first,”

On the other hand, the film is doing decent box office collection and it has collected around 60 crores at the box office in its first week. Well, the film was actually made in the budget of 125 crores so it is tough for the film to recover its budget and it will be counted as a flop.
