The release date of Suriya's Singam 3 has been postponed, yet again.

The film, directed by Hari and produced by K.E. Gnanavel Raja of Studio Green was scheduled to-be released worldwide on 23 December as a Christmas gift for Suriya fans. But now, the makers have decided to postpone the film due to the recent destruction in Chennai caused by Cyclone Vardha.

The cyclone has badly hit the internet services in Chennai making the debit card/credit card swiping machines useless there. To avoid any loss, the makers have decided to postpone their much-awaited magnum-opus to a new date. An official confirmation on the new release date will be announced soon.

Meanwhile, the lead actor of Singam 3, Suriya took to his Twitter page to ask for support from his fans.

"Dear all! #S3 stands postponed due to several external factors not under our control!Believe it's for the larger good!Need all your support!"

This is not the first time makers are changing the release date of Singam 3. Before announcing the release date as Christmas release, the makers had planned to release Singam 3 on two different dates, on the auspicious occasion of Diwali and on 16 December.

Singam 3 also stars Anushka Shetty, Shruti Haasan and Thakur Anoop Singh.
