Australian Open Super Series: Kidambi Srikanth beats China's Shi Yuqi to enter final

Indian shuttler Kidambi Srikanth continued his golden run and stormed into the final of Australian Open Super Series after defeating World No. 4 Shi Yuqi of China in straight sets 21-10, 21-14.

Srikanth had earlier made it to the semis with a fantastic win over his Indian compatriot Sai Praneeth on 23 June in straight games 25-23, 21-17.

Meanwhile, Saina Nehwal and PV Sindhu had a disappointing as they both crashed out of the tournament.

Saina got defeated by sixth seed Sun Yu of China 17-21, 21-10, 17-21 in the women's singles quarter-final, while fifth seed Sindhu was beaten by World No. 1 Tai Tzu Ying 21-10, 20-22, 16-21.
