At a time when left and other Opposition parties have been accusing BJP of embracing brute majority to push through the Citizenship Amendment Act (CAA), an entirely opposite scenario has been witnessed at Thrissur Kerala Varma College. In a state where Left has deep roots, ABVP students and workers were thrashed allegedly by SFI workers and students inside the college campus.

ABVP students and workers had taken permission to conduct a seminar on CAA and had plans to "educate" about the benefits and purpose of CAA, say media reports.

Three ABVP students have been admitted to a hospital with serious injuries.

The attack on ABVP students took place on Wednesday at 9.30 a.m. In the video, a group of students can be seen thrashing ABVP students.

Some reports suggest that this attack could be a retaliation of some scuffle with ABVP students before this attack.

The video of the incident has been widely shared on the micro-blogging site, in which a group of students was brutally beating a student.
