Virat Kohli, whose popularity can’t be restricted in the country and has a huge fan following in other countries as well. Virat has gained popularity for the way he plays for team India. Although, our Chiku has a lot of records his new record has taken him on the first position among all the other best players in Cricket fraternity. Even Virat has defeated the former captain cool of India i.e. MS Dhoni. As Kohli has become the fastest to 3000 one-day International runs (ODI) as a captain.

Virat registered this huge record only in 49 innings. Earlier, this record was in the name of South Africa superstar player AB de Villiers, who had scored the runs in 60 innings. While Dhoni, who had handed over his captainship to Kohli, had scored 3000 runs in ODI in 70 innings.


 

 

Kohli’s first ODI match as a captain was played in 2013 and now he scored this record while playing his 52nd ODI as an Indian Cricket team skipper. Apart from this, Kohli has scored hundreds in 13 ODIs out of the 35 as a captain.

Virat’s most outbursting performance was during his South Africa tour where he scored whopping 871 runs across formats. In the ODIs, Indian captains scored 558 runs, which also included three hundred. During the three-match ODI series in England, Kohli had hit a score 75 in the first match which team India had won at Old Trafford before scoring 45 in the second at Lord's.

 

 

Now, on Tuesday, the right-hander has achieved this huge record after playing the third and final ODI match against England at Headingley, Leeds.
