Raees' Mahira Khan: I'll always remember forgetting my lines in front of Shah Rukh Khan!

She is a sensation in Pakistan already and is now gearing up for her big Bollywood debut opposite Shah Rukh Khan in Rahul Dholakia's directorial, Raees.

The film which was supposed to clash with Salman Khan on Eid 2016, is now postponed and will be releasing with the Hrithik Roshan-starrer Kaabil in January next year. However, Mahira seems completely unfazed with this clash as she says she is more nervous about her debut than the clash. Talking to the media at the red carpet of Vogue Beauty Awards 2016, Mahira said:

"It's my dream come true to work with Shah Rukh Khan and I am also very excited about Raees. But more than this, I am nervous too. It feels like I am under pressure to display my acting skills."

When asked about a memorable moment with SRK, the Humsafar actor said:

"The first scene, I thought I'd do it smoothly, but as he (Shah Rukh) came in front of me, I forgot my lines. I will always remember that incident."

However, Mahira hopes she has done a good job.

"Being artistes, I and others (artistes from Pakistan) have been trying to represent our country. I hope I can do a good job, because I feel only that country develops which gives respect to artistes," she said.

Mahira made her acting debut with a small role in Shoaib Mansoor's Bol, which also featured Atif Aslam. However, it was Hum TV's blockbuster serial Humsafar opposite Fawad Khan, which took her to new heights of fame.

Talking about a possibility of working with Fawad again, she said: "I know people loved our chemistry, but we both are busy with our projects. Therefore, it's going to be tough."

Produced by Red Chillies Entertainment and Excel Entertainment, Raees is scheduled to be released on 26 January, 2017.
