Nawazuddin Siddiqui's Freaky Ali to release on 9 September

Sohail Khan's next directorial venture, Freaky Ali starring Nawazuddin Siddiqui and Amy Jackson, will hit the big screen on 9 September, where it will clash with Katrina Kaif and Sidharth Malhotra's Baar Baar Dekho.

Freaky Ali chronicles the journey of an debt collector who becomes a golfing sensation. Nawazuddin Siddiqui will play the titular character of Ali.

In an official statement, Sohail Khan, who last directed Salman Khan in Jai Ho, said:

"I have been practising the game for the last one year and golf has taught me the virtue of patience, that's where the concept of Freaky Ali struck me. I was delighted to have wrapped up the film in 40 days with shoots in Mumbai, Delhi and Pune and within a certain budget. This is the first time my production costs run into single digits."

The film also stars Arbaaz Khan. According to reports, Salman Khan will sing a song for the film and star in a promotional video for Freaky Ali.
