Kick 2: Salman Khan plays both hero and villain in the film

Enough has been speculated about Salman Khan's Kick 2. While the actor himself trashed the news of Jacqueline Fernandes being roped in for the sequel of 2014 blockbuster, here comes a new revelation.

According to a DNA report, Kick will see Salman Khan in a double role. "Salman has announced that he will be playing a double role in Kick 2. What is not known is that one character is a positive one, while the other is an out-and-out villain. That's the idea," DNA quoted a source as saying.

The original film that was the directorial debut of producer Sajid Nadiadwala had Khan playing the lead opposite Fernandes, as actor Nawazuddin Siddiqui played the antagonist in it.

This time, as the news of Khan playing two characters in the films gets out, it should be noted that he plays both hero and villain in the film. The actor is doing a double role in Sooraj Barjatya's Prem Ratan Dhan Payo as well, opposite actress Sonam Kapoor.

The film is set to release on Diwali, this year. Salman Khan had also played double role in the 1997 hit Bollywood film Judwaa.
