Kalank Box Office Collection Day 2: Karan Johar's multistarrer featuring Varun and Alia drops on second day

Kalank Box Office Collection Day 2: Karan Johar produced period drama film Kalank got the biggest opening of the year 2019. The film collected around 21.60 crores on its opening day Wednesday. The film also has beaten Karan Johar's another film Kesari starring Akshay Kumar that collected around 20 crores on its opening day.

However, Kalank that started with a bang at the box office has seen a drop in terms of collection. According to the early trade reports, Kalank collected approx 12 crores on the second day. With this, the total collection of the film reaches to 33.60 crores.

 

The film released on Mahavir Jayanti holiday and it worked in the favour of Karan Johar as the film got the biggest opening. After that now it will also see another holiday of Good Friday today and if the film does good on today also then the film may easily collect 100 crores at the opening weekend.

 

The film stars Varun Dhawan, Alia Bhatt, Sanjay Dutt, Madhuri Dixit, Sonakshi Sinha, and Aditya Roy Kapur in the leading roles. While Kunal Kemu and Kiara Advani have played pivotal roles. The film has directed by Abhishek Varman who also made Arjun Kapoor and Alia Bhatt starrer 2 States - One Marriage.
