Hrithik Roshan's upcoming films include Mohenjo Daro,Kaabil and Thug. While the actor has already started shooting for Kaabil, his ambitious project with Yash Raj Films, Thug, directed by Vijay Krishna Acharya (Victor) is expected to go on floors early next year.

Being his dream script, Victor has been working on the screenplay since long and is now finally read to helm the affair. Media reports suggest the film is based on the 1839 best-selling novel, Confession of A Thug, which is a tale of crime and retribution set in 1832 in India. However, we hear that Victor has set the story in the modern era, retaining the basic premise.

In the film, Amitabh Bachchan is said to essay the character of Hrithik's father. The production house is yet to finalise the leading lady opposite Hrithik in the film.

It has been widely reported that YRF is planning a big budget Thug Franchise and plans to make it as big as Dhoom.

Official confirmation about the development is still awaited.
