Directed by Meghna Gulzar, Talvar released in merely 700 screens and to everyone's surprise the film is doing very well at the Box-Office. Confident about the content, the makers had arranged paid previews from Thursday evening onwards, and the film collected Rs 50 lakh from paid previews alone.

On Friday, like Singh Is Bliing even Talvar benefited from the Gandhi Jayanti holiday and raked in Rs 2.50 crore at the Box-Office, which is a very good figure considering the genre of the film and the release size.

The film has been received with unanimously terrific critic reviews and the audience response too has been very positive. The film is doing very well in the metros, especially Mumbai and Delhi. Another point to be noted is that unlike other films, the numbers of shows allotted to Talvar by the multiplexes is quite limited and the movie is running to packed houses for these limited shows.

The movie continued to do well on its second day too as there was a small jump in the collections. The film raked in Rs 2.73 crore on its second day and the business is expected to jump further on Sunday due to the holiday factor supported by a positive word of mouth.
