Was Bhumi Pednekar's appearance in Shubh Mangal Zyada Saavdhan has connection with Badhaai Do? Deets inside
Ayushmann Khurrana Badhaai Ho entertained the audience with its unconventional storyline in 2018. The film not just moved the audience but also bagged multiple national awards. After seeing such amazing response makers have now planned to make the second instalment of the film and for this, they have locked to leads i.e Rajkummar Rao and Bhumi Pednekar.
Yes, it's true! The film titled as Badhaai Do will see Rajkummar essaying role of a cop, who happens to be the only male in a Mahila thana while Bhumi will be seen in PT teacher’s role. As per reports the film will be based in LGBT space, yes just like Shubh Mangal Zyada Saavdhan but their will be a twist. The film will be helmed by Hunterrr director Harshavardhan Kulkarni and will be written by Akshay Ghildial who wrote the story of Badhaai Ho.

Confirming the news Bhumi said that when the makers approached her for the sequel she immediately said Yes to the film as the script sounded amazing. She also spills the beans on her role that it will be an independent and powerful character and through this film, it will help her expand the horizons as an actor.

Rajkummar to spill the beans on his role and said that his character is surrounded by strong women at home and work. He added that though he has played the role of cop earlier, however, this role will be entirely different from previous roles.

The film which is slated to release next ear in June will be a social comedy of the same milieu as Badhaai Ho which starred Neena Gupta, Gajarj Rao, Sanya Malhotra among others.
