Time for Welcome Back: can it pull through without the Welcome star, Akshay Kumar?

The Welcome Back week is here. The way director Anees Bazmee concluded the 2007 blockbuster Welcome, nobody thought there would be a sequel. However Bazmee along with his team of writers, Rajeev Kaul and Raj Shandaliya, have come up with a script which starts from where Welcome ended.

Interesting isn't it?

In Welcome Back, Uday Bhai (Nana Patekar) and Majnu Bhai (Anil Kapoor) will be seen as retired gangsters who want to get their younger sister Shruti Haasan to get married to a well learned guy. And there enters Ajju Bhai (John Abraham) - a big rowdy, who falls in love with Shruti Haasan. Ajju Bhai's character in Welcome Back leads to comedy of errors.

As mentioned by the entire cast, Welcome Back neither contains double meaning dialogues nor any skin show, thus making it an ideal watch for the family audiences.

The film is directed by Anees Bazmee who is known for comic entertainers like No Entry, Singh Is Kinng, Welcome and Ready. Firoz Nadiadwala too has a good track record of producing entertaining films and mounting them on a huge scale.

Yes, we would definitely miss Akshay Kumar in the film, but don't you think Paresh Rawal, Anil Kapoor and Nana Patekar's terrific comic timing along with the John Abraham and Naseeruddin Shah's addition in the star cast will make up for Akshay Kumar's absence?

The first trailer of Welcome Back was disappointing but the second trailer gave us an idea that the film has a lot of laugh to offer with confusion building up around so many characters.

Here's wishing team Welcome Back all the best for the release.
