Auto Expo 2016 is all cricketers, Bollywood stars, oh and brand new cars

It is a truth universally known and events in India are now judged according to the number of celebrities you were able to coax into attending. By that logic, Auto Expo 2016 has proved to be a smashing hit. Into its second day, the expo has seen more stars than an average Indian is used to seeing in one place, unless it's an awards night.

Being held at Noida, the lavishly organised expo has about 65 automobile companies showcasing the latest products from their stable. Sachin Tendulkar, the God of all things cricket, showed up to launch the BMW 7 series. Ranbir Kapoor and ex-flame Katrina Kaif entered and exited separately, creating a furore among those present just for the photo-ops. Katrina was promoting Jaguar XE, while Ranbir unveiled Hero Motocorp's two-wheeler, Splendor iSmart 110.

Virat Kohli, Sachin's protegee and the reigning cricket superstar showed up with actress Alia Bhatt by his side for the launch of the new Audi R8 V10 plus. Narain Karthikeyan was around giving his support to Tata Motors, as Suhel Seth gushed about Mercedes.
