A local court in Hajipur today rejected the bail plea of suspended Bharatiya Janata Party's MLC Tunna Pandey in a molestation case.

Pandey was arrested on 24 July for allegedly molesting a teenage girl on the Poorvanchal Express.

According to media reports, the BJP lawmaker allegedly molested a 12-year-old-girl on a train while she was sleeping. The girl was reportedly travelling along with her parents and was on her way to Gorakhpur.

Pandey also reportedly tried to force her to enter the bathroom.

The Government Railway Police arrested Pandey on charges of eve teasing a minor girl, after the victim complaint against him.

An FIR was registered in the matter and he was arrested at Hajipur railway station.

"As per complaint of the victim, Pandey tried to molest her and also misbehaved with her in a running train," the police had said.
