Heavy rains are lashing out several places across the country and hugely affecting the day-to-day life of people. Recently, some lucky commuters had a narrow escape from getting dragged away in flood.

A video of commuters shows how the lucky four men managed to flew out a car standing on a flood-stricken road in Uttarakhand's Haldwani city. The car within a fraction of seconds lashed out in the heavy-wavy flood water.

In the video, it can be seen two cars -- a white and a red -- and an auto-rickshaw stranded on road gushing with rainwater. As the men behind the camera, who is probably filming the whole incident, yell (and jeer) at the people stuck in the cars to get out, those in the white car finally begin to listen.

“Passengers in 2 cars & auto rickshaw escape just before 1 of the cars on the flooded street gets washed away in water in Haldwani. The second car was also washed away after some time,” tweets ANI.

Watch Video here:

One by one, four men manage to come out of the car through windows onto the red car's roof parked next to it. A second after the last person escapes, the video captures the white car get sucked in by the current and is washed away in the flood.

As the car goes under, the flood gushing down the road can be seen running with uprooted trees and branches alike.
