Azam Khan, prominent leader and Muslim face of the Samajwadi Party has blamed Prime Minister Narendra Modi for the Dadri lynching incident and saying that PM Modi must 'rein in his volunteers'
Khan stated that killing a 50-year-old man over beef rumours shows where PM Modi's government is taking the country.
He said "Prime Minister please rein in your volunteers. Life, politics and posts are not forever but infamy remains forever. Don't make your volunteers do these things."

Recently, a 50-year-old man was hacked to death by an angry mob in Dadri, Uttar Pradesh, allegedly over rumours that his family had consumed beef.
The deceased had been identified as Mohammad Akhlaq. He, along with his son, was dragged out by villagers and the duo was beaten with bricks. Akhlaq succumbed to his injuries on the way to the hospital, while his son is in a critical condition.

Following the incident the police had arrested six men from the spot and have registered a case under various sections of the Indian Penal Code (IPC).
