Captured on CCTV camera attacking the principle of a collage he teaches in, a professor at Madhya Pradesh’s Ujjain now faces a police case under charges of assault and intimidation.
Police have booked the professor under charges of voluntarily causing hurt, obscene acts or words and criminal intimidation. The accused, identified as Bramhadeep Alune, is an assistant professor at Late Nagulal Malviya Government College at Ghattiya in Ujjain.
The case was filed after a CCTV recording displaying Mr Alune attack Dr Shekhar Medamwar, principal of the college, on January 15 went viral on the Internet.

The professor had been transferred to the Ujjain college from Bhopal. As maintained by the principal, the professor goes for a 5-km walk daily after coming to the college. "We are already short-staffed. On January 15, the college was made a vaccination centre. I called him to talk about it but he became angry and started abusing and hitting me.
The professor also accused the principal of behaving badly with all staff members. "During Medamwar's tenure, three people have taken premature retirement. He misbehaves with all staff members. He called me to his room and used abusive words. This led to a fight," the professor alleged.
The viral video, recorded on the CCTV in the principal's office, display the two having a quarrel. The argument shortly intensified with both of them pointing figures at one other.
Frenzy of rage, the professor gets up from his chair and throws a punch at the principal from across the table. As the principal moves away, the punch lands on his arm.
The professor then lifts things from the principal's office table and throws them at him. Moving across the table, he then attacks the principal. Their hands lock as the principal is pushed to the wall and is seen trying to protect himself.
Apparently, rattled by the melee, few people from outside comes into the office and stops the fight. They take the professor back to his seat as the argument goes on.
The professor, still furious, keeps shouting at the principal. Recuperating from the sudden attack, the principal signals the professor, to leave the office, however he sits down on his chair, refusing to leave.
