COVID-19: Doctor writes emotional post for her babies, says ‘want them to know I tried hard’

Coronavirus has broken down human physically and emotionally as the frontline workers have been separated from their families in a bid to follow their duties. Several heartwarming posts have surfaced the Internet which showed how much they are suffering these days while working for 18-20 hours in hospitals or at other places.

One such heartwrenching post has gone viral on Twitter which was shared by a surgeon from New York City. She is also working on the frontlines and fighting against the novel coronavirus. Her post will fill your eyes with tears.


The surgeon named Cornelia Griggs tweeted on Twitter with a picture, in which she can be seen wearing personal protective gear. She captioned the picture, “My babies are too young to read this now. And they’d barely recognize me in my gear. But if they lose me to Covid-19, I want them to know Mommy tried hard to do her job. #GetMePPE #NYC.”

Each word of her in the post is depicting the pain that she has gone while staying away from her children due to her fight against the virus. However, she also wanted her babies should know that their mother tried so hard to do her job.

This tweet of Griggs has immediately gone viral and garnered over 80.8K retweets and 418.4k likes.

Due to coronavirus outbreak in US, over 2,650 death cases have been reported and over one lakh positive cases for COVID-19 reported so far.
