Dream chasing is not an easy thing for many while determined people know how to achieve success in their lives. One such inspiring story of a Haryana man who has cracked India’s most prestigious exams including IIT entrance JEE Advanced, IIM entrance, CAT, and PSU job entry exam GATE. After clearing such the toughest exams, he aimed to clear the UPSC engineering service exam (ESE).
Because of his hard work and dedication towards his goal, he cracked Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) Engineering Service Exam (ESE) 2021 and secured an All India Rank 1.
Now, he will soon be going to join the most reputed central government job.
A native of Karnal, Haryana, the 26-year-old, Vineet Kumar’s story of his achievements is inspiring for those middle-class family people who thought they can’t do anything in their life because of the financial crunch.
Vineet is currently working as an assistant executive engineer at ONGC.
In a conversation with News18.com, Vineet said that cracking the UPSC ESE not only gives him one of the best technical jobs but also gives him a chance to serve people and contribute to the nation’s growth.
However, the UPSC journey was not easy for Vineet. In his first attempt, he had scored 791 marks, however, the final cut-off was 9 marks higher at 800.
Vineet didn’t stop here as he wants to crack the exam at any cost. Therefore, in 2021, he again appeared for the UPSC ESE.
He identified his weakness and where he needs improvement. He started focusing on his loopholes and attempted an increased number of mock tests. Because of these things, he was able to perform stupendous in UPSC ESE 2021 exam and secured AIR 1.
Before cracking the UPSC exam, Vineet Kumar had also appeared for IIT-JEE in 2012. During the preparation for IIT-JEE, he understands the importance of consistency and proper planning while preparing for any entrance examination or learning new things.
This technique also helped him in clearing UPSC ESE as well.
Based on his JEE score, Kumar got admitted to IIT-Delhi where he pursued mechanical engineering.
After completing his BTech, Kumar had worked for a few years and then he cracked another two toughest exams i.e. GATE and CAT- IIM entrance. His percentile in CAT was 99.93 while he secured AIR 106 in GATE.
Through CAT, he was selected for the IIMs while through GATE, he got various job offers at PSUs including ONGC.
Talking about his family, he hails from a middle-class family. His father runs a shop in Karnal while his mother is a homemaker.
Vineet Kumar completed his 12th from a CBSE-affiliated school in Karnal, where he scored 90.4 percent.
