Board exams are about to start in the country for Class 10th and Class 12th. However, students are planning that what will they opt in future for their further higher education. Many students have also applied for the various competitive examinations. Well, those days have been gone when students either opted for engineering or medical after completing their schooling.

Many candidates are in search of different professional courses besides engineering and medical as per their personal interest and skill sets.


Not only in India, but such trends also noticed with the individuals studying abroad.

As per the reports of the 2018 Open Doors report on International Educational Exchange said that Indian and other international students in the US are choosing some off-beat courses.

On the other hand traditional course STEM Science, Technology, Engineering and Math) are still the preference of the candidates. Besides, some additional courses like Automation and Mechatronics, Robotics are also becoming the demand for the aspirants.

1. Robotics:

With the arrival of humanoids like Sophia and SoftBank’s Pepper, robotics is grabbing the attention of the students to opt this field as their career.

2. Mechatronics

A new branch of engineering that has grabbed the eyeballs of the aspirants. As per the information is given on Stanford University’s online portal that it is at the intersection of mechanical engineering, software engineering and electronic engineering.

3. Disability programmes

As per the reports of the World Bank, around 1 billion people across the world has suffered from a disability.

Around 15 per cent of the global population has a disability problem than a demand to support them have also increased in many countries.

Therefore, students with a degree in disability programmes can find a job at worldwide. Also, students can also decide to work for government bodies after completing their graduation.
