Patna: Demonstrations were held in Patna and other districts as NDA workers took to the streets. Senior BJP leaders joined the protests in the capital.
BJP leaders demand apology
Ravi Shankar Prasad condemned the opposition’s remarks and asked why such comments were made without accountability. He said if it had been their party worker, action would have been taken and an apology issued.
Opposition leaders criticised
Prasad also responded to Tejashwi Yadav’s remarks, stating that past political exchanges do not justify repeated offensive language against the Prime Minister.
Protests spread beyond Patna
In Araria, BJP MP Pradeep Singh and leader Jyoti Bhagat joined demonstrations. Singh demanded Rahul Gandhi and Tejashwi Yadav apologise for abusive words used from their stage.
Women workers lead demonstrations
BJP Mahila Morcha members, carrying flags and posters, blocked roads and raised slogans against Rahul Gandhi and Tejashwi Yadav. In Darbhanga, the women’s wing enforced the five-hour bandh.
