Tiger Shroff's A Flying Jatt failed to set the cash registers ringing as it made just about Rs 7.10 crore on its opening day.
The Remo D'Souza directorial fared the best at mass circuits like CI (Central India) and CP (Central Province). However, it failed to even record noticeable occupancy in multiplexes.
The film was expected to take a flying start in Delhi and Punjab due to the local flavour. Surprisingly, even that hasn't happened. The collections in the above mentioned two territories are just about decent.
The collections in some circuits were benefitted by a partial holiday as a result of Janmashtami. Had it not been a holiday, the real value of opening day collections would have been a little higher than Rs 6 crore.
The film has largely received negative reviews. However, it remains to be seen whether it strikes a chord with the target audience i.e. children. The film's budget was Rs 50 crore, inclusive of print and publicity and a recovery looks difficult.
