Emraan Hashmi, anointed Bollywood's on-screen serial kisser, has had a bit of a dry spell since a while. The actor is struggling to come up with a 'hit' at the Box Office. After his last hit, Raaz 3 (2012), the actor has been seen in films like Ek Thi Dayaan, Ghanchakkar, Raja Natwarlal, Ungli, Mr X and Hamari Adhuri Kahani. However, none of these films really worked at the Box Office and the audience reaction was disappointing for the actor.

Almost a year after Hamari Adhuri Kahani, Hashmi will be seen essaying the character of Mohammad Azharuddin, in the cricketer's biopic, Azhar. Unlike Hashmi's last few releases, Azhar has a positive buzz around it and is keenly-awaited by the trade and audience alike.
