Terrifying video shows hot air balloon crashing with passengers onboard

A horrifying video of a hot air balloon crashing to the ground went viral on social media. The incident took place in California.

The video was shot by a passenger and a TikTok user Nicholas McCall.

The dramatic video captured the moment when the hot air balloon crashed into a California field in high winds.

According to Nicholas, he was on his first-ever balloon ride that went wrong after the pilot was forced to crash land near Perris, California, due to the strong wind.

McCall shared the video with a caption, “My first hot air balloon experience was going great until the winds picked up.”

In the viral video, McCall is seen recording his first-ever hot air balloon ride from its basket along with several other riders. All of sudden, the video cuts to the crash due to the high-speed winds.

The basket of the hot air balloon also started shaking due to the wind before being slammed down. However, the guide instructs everyone not to get panic by saying “stay on” and managed to save everyone’s life.

In the video, the guide can also be heard screaming- "Everybody hang on! Everybody hang on and stay in the basket!"

“In the basket with me! Stay on! Stay on! Stay on!,” he further said.

Within a few seconds, the basket smashed into the ground due to the winds.
