'So excited to go to Oxford,' says youngest-ever Nobel Prize laureate Malala Yousufzai

Pakistani activist Malala Yousufzai has posted a tweet, announcing she is "so excited" after being accepted to study at the World's prestigious Oxford University.

The 20-year old tweeted, "So excited to go to Oxford!! Well done to all A-level students - the hardest year. Best wishes for life ahead!"


Being the youngest ever UN Messenger of Peace, Malala Yousufzai will pursue the prestigious Philosophy, Politics and Economics degree at Oxford.

Yousufzai,a Nobel Peace Prize winner rose to prominence after she was shot on the head and neck by the Taliban in Pakistan while on her way home from school in 2012.

She has garnered immense praise for her campaigning and advocacy for girls education.

She joins the league of world's most famous leaders who studied Philosophy, Politics and Economics degree at Oxford including former Pakistani President Benazir Bhutto, former US President Bill Clinton, Ex-British Prime Minister David Cameron and leader of Myanmar Aung San Suu Kyi.
