  • Islamic State has released a four-minute Mandarin song online to attract Chinese Muslims.
  • The chant urges Muslim \"brothers\" to pick up their weapons and join the movement.
  • The song comes after the Islamic group\'s execution of hostage Fan Jinghui in China.

In a bid to woo the Muslim population in China, jihadist group ISIS has released a four-minute Mandarin song online. Released by Al-Hayat Media Centre, the Islamic State's media arm, the song 'We are Mujahid' was circulated on Twitter and messaging app Telegraph.

The war chant urges Muslim "brothers" to pick up their weapons. "We are Mujahid, our shameless enemy panics before us," goes the chorus. "Our dream is to die fighting on this battlefield." Thanks to its slick production quality and "hypnotically infectious" vibe the song has been going viral online.Check it out here:

The song comes close on the heels of the Islamic group's execution of hostage Fan Jinghui in China.Chinese experts believe that few terrorists from Xinjiang belonging to the Uighur minority have traveled to the IS hubs in Syria and Iraq and few of them might return to the nation to spread terrorism in the most populated country.

Chinese foreign ministry spokeswoman Hua Chunying said she could not confirm if the recording was indeed made and released by ISIS. However, Livemint quoted her saying, "In the face of terrorism, no country can stand on its own, and the international community should stand closer together and cooperate to jointly strike against all forms of terrorism."

It is however, doubtful about how much impact this video will have over the Chinese population as social media sites such as Twitter and Facebook are blocked in the country.
