Maintaining that she is first and foremost an actor and all she wants to do is justice to her talent, Shubhangi Atre has spoken out for the first time on enacting the character of Angoori Bhabi in the &TV show Bhabi Ji Ghar Par Hai

The actress, who'll be seen replacing Shilpa Shinde in the show, is quite excited about the project and her role. Here are the three points she made:

On her character:

"I am extremely excited and equally nervous on being chosen to play such a beautiful character on television. The show has a cult following and playing the character of Angoori is quite challenging."

On replacing Shilpa Shinde:

"My job is now to understand the director's vision and do complete justice to it. I hope the loyal fans of the show bestow the same love upon me as they have showered before. We have a great bunch of talented actors with impeccable comic timing and I hope to re-create the same magic with them on screen."

On the treatment she got on the sets of the show:

"During the shoot, I was already very nervous, but everyone was so accommodating that I felt at ease."

After she became the small screen's 'bhabi ji', Shilpa left the show amid some differences with the production house Edit II sending a legal notice to her when she didn't show up for the shoot and reportedly signed up for another entertainer.

Shubhangi has been a part of shows like Kasautii Zindagii Kay, Kasturi and Chidiya Ghar earlier.
