Vijay 60 to release this Diwali. Will it be a Box Office hattrick for Vijay?

Shooting for Ilayathalapathy Vijay's next, Vijay 60, has not commenced yet. But the makers have already announced that the film will be released on Diwali this year. 

The makers are looking to replicate the success of Vijay's previous Diwali releases, Thuppakki in 2012 and Kaththi in 2014 - which were huge hits at the Box Office.

Vijay 60 will be directed by Bharathan, who penned the script for Vijay's 2004 hit film Ghilli. He has earlier directed Vijay in his first dual role in the film, Azhagiya Tamil Magan. 

Touted as an action-family entertainer, Vijay 60 will star Keerthy Suresh - of Rajini Murugan fame - as the female lead opposite Vijay. The film also stars Aparna Vinod, Jagapati Babu, YG Mahendraa and Daniel Balaji. The music for the film will be composed by Santhosh Narayanan. Vijay 60 will be produced under the banner of Vijaya Productions.

Meanwhile, ​Vijay's Theri has successfully completed a golden two-week run at the Box Office. The blockbuster crossed the Rs 100 crore mark in just 6 days.
