Tamil filmmakers are known to bank on the Kerala Box Office for the success of their films outside Tamil Nadu. From Rajinikanth, Kamal Haasan and Vikram to Ajith, Vijay and Suriya, most Tamil superstars enjoy a massive fan following in Kerala. The recent success of Kabali, Theri and 24 in Kerala is testament to this fact.

In an unbelievable feat, fans of Suriya have managed to bag the Kerala distribution rights of the actor's upcoming magnum-opus, Singam 3. Yes, you heard that right! The All Kerala Singam Suriya Fans and Welfare Association (AKSSFWA) has acquired the Kerala theatrical distribution rights of the Suriya-starrer - in collaboration with Sopanam Entertainment.

Singam 3, directed by Hari and produced by KE Gnanavel Raja, is touted to be one of the biggest Tamil films of 2016.

The action-entertainer marks the return of Suriya in one of his best-loved avatars, DSP Durai Singam. Singam 3 also stars Shruti Haasan and Anushka Shetty. The film marks the Tamil debut of model and Mr World, Thakur Anup Singh, in the role of the antagonist.

Singam 3 is slated to hit the screens on 16 December 2016.
