The official trailer of Telugu superstar Pawan Kalyan's upcoming film Sardaar Gabbar Singh is out. The film, directed by KS Ravindra and produced by Pawan Kalyan, Sharath Maraar and Sunil Lulla - under their banners Pawan Kalyan Creative Works, Northstar Entertainment and Eros International - is a sequel to the 2012 blockbuster Gabbar Singh.

The trailer has been met with a mixed response; cinema lovers were reportedly expecting more out if it. The trailer of the first part, Gabbar Singh, had left an impact on the viewers, creating a lot of curiosity around the film. However, the sequel's trailer apparently did not leave the same impact on the audience.

The character of Gabbar Singh, a street-smart police officer with a heart of gold, was introduced in the first part. Gabbar Singh had managed to make its action sequences look stylish and unfortunately, according to many, the action sequences appear to be over the top in the sequel, at least going by its trailer.

Pawan Kalyan - Chiranjeevi

The only saving grace of the trailer is the presence of Pawan Kalyan. The actor seems to have effortlessly transitioned into the role chalked out in the sequel and he looks to be at the top of his game. Surely, this is great news for his fans.

Sardaar Gabbar Singh also stars Kajal Aggarwal, Lakshmi Raai and Sanjjanaa Archana Galrani and is slated to release on 8 April 2016.
