Prithviraj Sukumaran to romance Vidya Balan in the Kamala Surayya biopic

The latest news in Mollywood is that actor Prithviraj Sukumaran is all set to romance Bollywood actress Vidya Balan in an upcoming film, a biopic on the late author, Kamala Surayya. Vidya was also seen in the Malayalam film Urumi in 2011, which also starred Prithviraj.

Prithviraj has previously worked with Bollywood heroines like Aishwarya Rai, Rani Mukerji and Yami Gautam. Director Kamal will complete 30 years in the Malayalam industry with this film. His first film was Mizhineerppoovukal in 1986, starring Mohanlal and Urvashi.

Reportedly, the film encapsulates the important stages of Kamala Surraya's life, including her marriage with banker Madhava Das at the age of 15, the debut of her autobiography Ente Kadha at 42, and her controversial conversion to Islam at 67.

Vidya Balan is essaying the role of Kamala Surraya and Prithviraj plays her husband, banker Madhava Das. Prithviraj's collaboration with director Kamal, Celluloid, in 2013 won him the Kerala state best actor award.
