Pics Inside: After Priya Prakash Varrier, now Mohanlal winks as Ithikkara Pakki in Nivin Pauly film Kayamkulam Kochunni
Looks like winking on screen is the latest trend in Malayalam cinema. After Priya Prakash Varrier in Omar Lulu's Oru Adaar Love, another Malayalam celebrity winks for his upcoming film, but this time it's none other than Malayalam superstar and five-time national award winner Mohanlal.
It's widely known that Mohanlal is playing an extended cameo in Nivin Pauly's upcoming film Kayamkulam Kochunni directed by Rosshan Andrrews. Mohanlal will be seen portraying the role of Ithikkara Pakki in Kayamkulam Kochunni, the first legendary Robin Hood of Kerala.
And now, the makers have unveiled the first look poster of Mohanlal as Ithikkara Pakki. Mohanlal, in an unshaven look, is seen winking in the poster similar to Priya Prakash Varrier's viral wink from Oru Adaar Love. And as expected, within no time his first look poster had gone viral across the social media.
"Mohanlal will be playing the role of Ithikkara Pakki, whose importance cannot be understated when we are narrating the story of Kayamkulam Kochunni. Ithikkara Pakki was the first legendary Robin Hood of Kerala and he and Kayamkulam Kochunni were contemporaries, so Lalettan has a major role in the movie", Rosshan Andrrews was quoted as saying by The Times of India.
Bankrolled by Gokulam Gopalan and written by National award winning writer-duo Bobby and Sanjay, Kayamkulam Kochunni stars Priya Anand in the female lead.
