Mahesh Babu charges his career's highest for Tamil debut
It's widely known that Telugu superstar Mahesh Babu is debuting in the Tamil film industry with AR Murugadoss' upcoming directorial venture. Touted as an action-entertainer, the upcoming Tamil-Telugu bilingual film will be made on a huge budget of over Rs 90 crore. The film also marks the debut of Bollywood actress Parineeti Chopra in the South Indian film industry.
And the latest news doing the rounds is that Mahesh Babu has reportedly charged a bomb for his much-awaited Tamil debut. Reportedly, the superstar's remuneration for his debut Tamil outing is a whopping Rs 23 crore. With this, the Pokkiri actor will receive the highest fee of his acting career. Reportedly, the actor's remuneration is bound to give sleepless nights to all other Tollywood superstars.
The untitled film marks the return of Mahesh Babu in one of his best-loved avatars. The Prince of Tollywood will be seen portraying the role of a police officer in the film. The actor has previously essayed the role of a cop in Pokkiri, Dookudu, and Aagadu, which turned out to be huge blockbusters at the Box Office.

Earlier, Catch had reported that the film's director, AR Murugadoss has emerged as the highest paid Tollywood director as he has been paid a staggering Rs 20 crore for directing the Mahesh Babu-starrer.
