It's official: Vikram and Singham director Hari to team up again for Saamy 2

2003 Tamil film, Saamy is touted as one of the biggest hits of superstar Vikram's career. The Hari directorial saw Vikram in a mass avatar and the film had set the Tamil Nadu Box Office on fire upon its release. The actor portrayed the role of a cop, DCP Aarusaamy in the film. The success of Saamy had also set the trend of police films in Kollywood as well.

And now, it has been confirmed officially that director Hari is all set to team up with Vikram for the sequel to Saamy. The Singham director made this announcement on Tuesday morning during the trailer launch of Vikram's Iru Mugan. Hari also revealed that the upcoming movie will be produced by Shibu Thameens, who is also the producer of Iru Mugan. Saamy 2 will have music by Harris Jayaraj and cinematography by Priyan.
