Malayalam director Basil Joseph's second Malayalam outing Godha is continuing its good run. The film, a sports drama jointly produced by CV Sarathi, Mukesh R Mehta and AV Anoop under their banners E4 Entertainment and AVA Productions tells the story of a Punjabi female wrestler Athithi Singh who refuses to let go of her dreams. Punjabi actress Wamiqa Gabbi has made her Malayalam debut in the film.

Basil Joseph recently also had the good fortune of meeting up with female wrestler and bronze medalist at the 2016 Olympics, Sakshi Malik and he took a selfie with her.
Sharing his excitement at having met Sakshi, Basil says in his Facebook post that he was pleasantly surprised with she enquired him about Godha. She asked him, "Isn't your film about a Punjabi girl wrestler?"

His Facebook post further read,

"She already had read about our movie and seen our trailer too!!! I showed her our songs, promo videos and stuff, met her husband, and had coffee too. I cannot express myself, the happiness of meeting someone who have been a hero of mine for last few months, we even had mentioned about her in our movie too. We even tried to contact her so many times,to show her our movie, and show her,how proudly we have celebrated people like her in our movie, and how far someone like her could inspire people, but unfortunately that never happened. But now THIS!!!! Overwhelmed!!! (SIC)
