Trumps in India LIVE Updates: PM Modi says 130 crore Indians are building New India

President of the United States (POTUS) Donald Trump and First Lady of the US (FLOTUS) have arrived in India today. Prime Minister Modi and Trump have addressed the lakhs of people gathered at Motera stadium today.

This will be the maiden trip of Donald Trump to India. His Air Force One has been landed at Ahmedabad airport at around 11:40 am. POTUS has been accompanied by his wife Melania Trumm and other officials from the US government, including his daughter Ivanka Trump and son-in-law Jared Kushner.


PM Modi will be hosting a mega-event in Ahmedabad named ‘Namaste Trump’. The two leaders will also participate in the massive roadshow and they will also visit the Sabarmati Ashram and then they will address the massive crowd gathered at the world’s largest cricket stadium i.e. Motera Stadium.

2:33 pm: "Today 130 crore Indians are together building a New India. Our youth is full of aspirations. Setting big goals, achieving them is becoming the hallmark of New India today," said PM Modi.

2:25 pm: PM Modi once again thanks Donald Trump, including Gujarat Cricket Association for making Motera Stadium available for the event before its completion.

After Namaste Trump's cultural extravaganza, Trump and his team will later leave for Agra and will visit one of the Wonders of the World i.e. Taj Mahal. During the event, dance groups and singers from different parts of the country will be performing on the stages along with the India roadshow in Ahmedabad.

In Agra, POTUS and US delegates will be welcomed by the Chief Minister of UP Yogi Adityanath.  In the evening at around 5:45 pm, Donald Trump will leave for Delhi. On 25th February, the bilateral meeting will begin between Donald Trump and PM  Modi at Hyderabad House.
