TMC worker Joydeb Jana hacked to death

A Trinamool Congress worker, Joydeb Jana, was hacked to death on the night of 8 April. He was reportedly attacked by a group of miscreants in the West Bengal’s west Midnapore district while he was returning home from an election campaign.
Residents reportedly found him lying in a pool of blood and rushed him to the hospital where he was declared brought dead.
Media reports quote Trinamool Congress' spokesperson Derek O'Brien as accusing local Congress' candidate Manas Bhuniya for the incident. O'Brien has also demanded that Bhuniya be arrested immediately.
Meanwhile, Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee has reportedly called for a probe.
