Congress President Sonia Gandhi, who was admitted to Sir Ganga Ram Hospital in the national capital 10 days ago, has responded to the treatment of her infection and resumed physiotherapy for her shoulder injury.
"Sonia Gandhi has shown improvement from infection and has no fever today. She is responding to antibiotics and has restarted her physiotherapy rehabilitation for shoulder," Sir Ganga Ram hospital said in a statement.
The Congress chief has been undergoing treatment at the private hospital for the last 10 days after taking ill during a roadshow in Varanasi. She had fractured her left shoulder during the roadshow.
On 11 August, the doctors treating her had advised her to extend her stay in the hospital by a few days as she was running a fever.
She had undergone a surgery on her left shoulder on 3 August and doctors said she almost recovered from the injury.
Gandhi was shifted to the Sir Ganga Ram Hospital from the Army Research and Referral Hospital, where she was rushed soon after her arrival from Varanasi around midnight of 2 August.
