PM Modi holds high level CCS meet after IAF carries out aerial strikes in PoK

CCS Meet underway

Amidst the Indian Air Force carried out aerial strikes across the LoC last night, PM Narendra Modi has chaired a high level CCS meet at 7 Lok Kalyan Marg, where he is being briefed about the operation by NSA Ajit Doval.

In the meeting, Home Minister Rajnath Singh, Finance Minister Arun Jaitley, Defence Minister Nirmala Sitharaman, External Affairs Minister Sushma Swaraj and officials along with NSA Ajit Doval are present.


The Cabinet Committee on Security had met last time when the terror attack took place in Pulwama, killing more than 40 CRPF soldiers and several steps were taken to corner out Pakistan, like the Most Favored Nation status was withdrawn and custom duty on goods were raised to 200% among others.

The international pressure mounting on Pakistan to act against terrorism and terror groups functioning from its soil has soared after 14 February terror blast.

Today, as per reports in the media, India has conducted pre-dawn strikes on the terror camps of Jaish-e-Mohammad across the Pakistan Occupied Kashmir late night at 03:30 am by 12 mirage 2000 fighter jets.

India Air Force have dropped around 1,000 kg of bombs guided through laser and have completely destroyed the bunkers.

News agency ANI tweeted, informing, “Balakot, Chakothi and Muzaffarabad terror launch pads across the LOC completely destroyed in IAF air strikes. JeM control rooms also destroyed.”
