The results of Madhya Pradesh assembly election 2018 are out after 24 hours of counting. After 15 years, BJP has been ousted from power in the heartland. This assembly election is being considered as a semi-final for the Lok Sabha elections in 2019. As soon the results trends came out, the opposition party started attacking BJP and Prime Minister Narendra Modi.

The BJP was having tremendous success in assembly elections since the 2014 Lok Sabha elections. But now the brakes have been found. In Madhya Pradesh BJP was in power for 15 years. For the past 13 years, BJP was continuously ruling under the leadership of Shivraj Singh Chauhan. But this time, Shivraj Singh and BJP have lost the people votes in the state. There may be several reasons for BJP's defeat in this assembly election. The problem of unemployment, corruption and peasants are key issues in this election. Congressmen succeeded in taking these issues among the masses. In such a situation, it is imperative to analyze the defeat of the BJP.

Here are Five issues that have lead to debacle of BJP and Shivraj Singh Chouhan in Madhya Pradesh:

The issue of farmers- Since the formation of the BJP government in Madhya Pradesh, the growth rate of agriculture has increased steadily for 15 years. For the last 10 years this region was number one in agriculture, but the farmers' position was not good anymore. This could be one of the biggest reason as farmers do not get the proper price for production. Thereby, the income of the farmers did not wirness growth. According to which are spent in cultivating. Accordingly, the prices of the crop have not increased. So the farmers became angry and voted against the Shivraj Sarkar.

Corruptions or Scam- Scandal related to education and jobs (Vyapam Scandal) in the state, so far 50 people have died in mysterious way. According to the Congress party, during the tenure of Shivraj, there were 156 scams. There are no such numbers of scandals, but some names are coming out. Like the Vyapam scam, Demat scam, land scam, Rs 1200 crores stipend scam and e-tandering involving three thousand crores of scams, the people were stricken with the government of the state, therefore voted against them.

Unemployment in state- Madhya Pradesh is the agricultural state, most of the population lives here in the village. The main profession of the people of the village is agriculture. People are leaving the farming due to lack of growth in agriculture. People are moving into other profession this has led to unemployment. On the other hand, the number of educated unemployed has also gone up. There are about 1.41 million unemployed youth in the entire state. Shivraj goverment has failed to provide employment because of this, people voted against BJP.

Women's protection - Like other states, rape incidents have risen with women and minor girls in Madhya Pradesh. In 2018 more than 1500 women and girls were sexually assaulted. The people were not happy with the law system of the government. Because of this, people did not even vote for the Shivraj Sarkar.

Anti-incumbency wave - Whenever there is a single party government in a state or country for a long time or one person remains the Chief Minister for a long time, then the people associated with him set an ideology. Due to which an increase in the monopoly in the people of the party and the government is witnessed. For any work, people have to depend on government or party people. This makes people angry with the government.
