Rahul Gandhi to contest 2019 polls from 2 seats, Kerala's Wayanad to be second

In the midst of election season, the Congress party has decided that party president Rahul Gandhi will contest the Lok Sabha polls from 2 constituencies, one from Amethi and another one from Kerala’s Wayanad parliamentary constituency.

AK Antony, of the Congress, said in teh press brief that, "Rahul ji has given his consent to contest from two seats, very happy to inform you that he will also contest from Wayanad in Kerala."


Congress spokesperson Randeep Singh Surjewala stated over the announcement that "Why did Modi ji leave Gujarat and contest from Varanasi? Was he not confident in Gujarat? These are immature and childish comments. She(Smriti Irani) will complete a hattrick of losses."
